About Bulwark

We don’t excuse violence.  But we also don’t ignore what caused it.

Reasonable people can find themselves in unreasonable situations.  Repeated taunting, targeted humiliation, intimidation, and abuse can push a confrontation past its breaking point.  Bulwark exists for people facing criminal charges who believe the full circumstances of their reaction have been overlooked.  Respect and personal dignity still matter.

Situations we are particularly interested in reviewing include:
• Repeated taunting or verbal abuse that escalates into a physical confrontation.
• Being followed, cornered, threatened, or intimidated before reacting.
• Intervening when another person is being threatened or attacked.
• A recording or accusation that leaves out the conduct preceding a confrontation.

Even if your reaction went further than you intended, your story deserves a fair hearing.  These examples describe our focus.  They do not establish that force was lawful or guarantee assistance.  Bulwark helps people seek qualified attorneys who can examine the evidence and assess their defense.
